Again we enjoyed the gourmet weekend. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, enjoy yourself and enjoy a surprise menu in the evening. The wine selection for the courses, prepared at a high level, is very extensive. Kudos to the Kraus family.

For me star kitchen at affordable prices! It does not get better!

The restaurant was a bit old, as well as the service and the staff. However, the prices are on the amount of time and move to star level (menu price 69 €). This claim is opposed by a good, but average kitchen. Only menu reservations are accepted in advance, but the waiting time is miserably long. (19 o'clock reserved, at 4 courses came at 22 o'clock "already" the main course!). Individual requests are - if anything - only reluctantly received. Overall, this place probably only because there is no real competition in the region.

The best restaurant between Munich and Nuremberg. Innovative, regional organic cuisine. Hannes Kraus and team: always happy. I would like to give 7 *. ********

Great atmosphere ... great food ... great atmosphere! Everything was great !!!

Here is cooked with a lot of skill and love. The dishes are incredibly creative, using fresh local produce and tasting sensational. Mr. Kraus is a gifted chef and his wife, with her attentive, friendly manner, makes you feel comfortable here. One of the best restaurants in the area.

The best gourmet address in the Upper Palatinate, in my opinion. You have to take some time, but the quality rewards the commotion. Especially the fish dishes are particularly successful and imaginative. Highly recommended is the surprise menu, which really every time with something new. Good wine list. Price really cheap. Great environment for a little walk in front of the food.

Delicious food of top quality, offered by friendly people in a pleasant, rustic atmosphere. Idyllic location, ideal in connection with hikes in picturesque nature!

Excellent menus and a cozy atmosphere

For us claim and reality do not fit together here. Waiting times that arise because fresh food is cooked are something we gladly accept. However, we have little understanding for waiting times that arise due to poor organization. Some short examples: - We were a group of 9 people. Three of us were the first. They handed us the card, but offered us no drinks. - When the rest rolled in, only 2 more tickets were served. Everyone else got stapled leaves saying there were not that many cards left. - When picking up the drinks we had to call our aperitif request, because the service ran away so fast. - When bringing the drinks were forgotten 4 of the 11 drinks, funny way ours. In the end, it took 40 minutes to get the first drink. - Drinks, as well as food were brought to the table and although systematically recorded before, EVERY drink and EVERY food had to be proclaimed as a joke. - The 5 appetizers (3 of them cold and a soup) made it so time-delayed at the table that we were not sure until the end if all would be served. -.... All in all, the food did not have the necessary quality to compensate for this almost endless list of minor faux pas. Given the significantly higher price level for the area, this achievement is not enough for us to come back.

Surprise menu! Always a positive surprise. Of course, everything else on the map. The place is very nice and is located in a beautiful landscape.
